Villa Switch Best For Samir

Samir Carruthers introduction to the first team last season has vindicated his decision to switch the Emirates for Villa Park.

Speaking to the Official Site Carruthers said he feels like the switch to Villa has worked wonders for him and now he'd focused on next season and making an even bigger impact:

'I just didn't feel like I was ever a favourite at Arsenal, it was a good club though. Everyone asks me why I left and say it's crazy but at the end of the day look where I am now. At Arsenal, the facilities are good, I've been to Fulham and other places too, but Villa had the best facilities and made me feel at home. I've got no regrets.'

After making his debut against Liverpool and being one of the few things fans could get excited about last season, he certainly shouldn't have any regrets.

Very very exciting player, more to come from Sami and also Danny Johnson.

More positivity coming out of VP. It is infectious. Grab your chance young man. Work harder than those around you. Expect nothing and aim to be the best in the world. You are young and the only thing that can stop you is the voices in your head. And when you are the worlds best remember who gave you your chance. OOOps that was McMuppet - so remember it was Villa that gave you the chance!!!

Great to hear a young player praising the club, and saying we are better than Arsenals facilities, if he keeps charming us like this we will riot at VPif he does not get picked to play ;) Hope he gets given a chance under whoever we appoint next as manager he looks good, agree Green Johnson seems to be highly rated i also like that Siegriest he needs to be our back up this season
ClivetheVillan
Very impressive young player and good to hear some positive comments. By the way, is it just me or did sir Trapalot Whelan not say that Martinez would be talking to the press today? seems he was talking a load of old pants for a change
Kuffit
looked good in the small patches we got to see.
The Fear
I thought for a moment we were signing George Best in a swap deal. As you can imagine, I was puzzeled to say the least.

I'm yet to see him play, but have heard good things about him. Good news coming from Villa Park? Viva la revolution!
juddy
in the short time he played he certainly made a go of it. I'd rather see a rookie get out there, give it a go and balls it rather than cower and make a negative pass out of fear.
Zarch
So you agree with the rest of us then Zarch, that pretty much everything that goes wrong is Fear's fault. I blame iton him distracting the players and *****ing off the manager with his continual banging on the hoardings, the noisy bugger :o)
