Twitter has gone slightly mad again tonight following the earlier news that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was meeting with Rokke, the owner of Molde's main sponsors.
It appears his wife and his agent were again in tow, and they were treated to yet another private jet trip to meet with the Aker owner.
Most recently it appears TV2 are reporting that sources close to Villa (why us and not sources close to OGS I don't know) have suggested that OGS either has been, or will shortly be, offered the position of our managerial hotseat.
As ever with speculation it could turn out to be nothing, but there is certainly a wave being ridden when it comes to Ole now with the majority of fans clearly behind welcoming him to B6.
In other news it appears Morten Gamst Pedersen has either been interviewed or tweeted saying:
'You don't say no to an offer from Aston Villa.'
So everybody is in a little bit of a frenzy now.
If anything happens I'll update this article, failing that and if you're like me and don't use social media - our Forum Thread on the baby faced assassin, is a reliable and excitable way of keeping up with the speculation.
Update 1
Birmingham Mail are now reporting that they understand that Ole has pulled out of being in the frame to become our manager.
There are no quotes attributed, and this does contradict an earlier tweet from Norwegian journalists that Ole refused to confirm whether he would be at Molde next season.
I'll let you make your own minds up here.
Update 2
All good fun this. Dagladet are now carrying quotes from Ole after the meeting and have him quoted as saying:
"We have had a very pleasant conversation. It has been a nice evening of good food. We will soon announce how it will be in the future, we will soon announce."
It appears the phrasing is what set Twitter off earlier about him being offered the job, simply because he refuses to answer simply with - I will be staying at Molde.
Again, read into it as you will.
Update 3
Neil Moxley (Daily Mail) has just tweeted that the club have confirmed that Ole has removed himself from the running for the managers seat, stating that the club have given a briefing confirming it. Quotes if I can find them to be added.
