Uh? Villa Transfer Talk - Not Sure How Or Why!

Uh? Villa Transfer Talk - Not Sure How Or Why!

The Telegraph and www.westlondonsport.com say that QPR are looking to make an offer for 36-year-old Villa goalkeeper Shay Given.

The Vital Villa player of the season (with 82% of the votes) is apparently being coveted by his former Manchester City boss Mark Hughes.

The paper claims that Given has four years left to run on his deal, I think they are wrong, I think it is three, as he signed on a four year deal didn`t he?

Whatever, I`m sure our new manager, whoever he may be, will not want to lose Shay.

www.dailymail.co.uk claim that Villa, Spurs and Arsenal would all like Wigan midfielder Mohamed Diame but that he might opt for a move to Spanish side Malaga.

The 24-year-old Senegal international is available on a Bosman.

There was also a link to us the other day to Norwich striker Grant Holt which I chose to ignore!

Why would Shay want to go to one of London's "lesser" clubs? Actually, I don't think anything will come of it.... even the national rags haven't picked up on it.

Given out? Most unlikely. Any of the other links? Most unlikely. New manager will have his own ideas - again!

Hmm our best players being linked with moves. Will never happen... Oh wait, Young, downing, milner, barry etc.... Hmmm. Where there is smoke I hope that there is no fire!

Wouldn't write anything off at the minute, I'd prefer to keep Given but I think there's a summer of change coming and nothing will be off the table.

Only 4 years on his contract, quick, let's cash in before he goes on a free.

Mr Fear - Think It might interesting to see a stat of your previous transfer threads and how many were actually right by season - bet its under 10% - sorry to try and cause you work - but i bet youve got a man for that.....

Mr 777. I do at the end of every transfer window list all the transfers together and cross out those that are wrong. Usually about 2 % right i would say! But I do enjoy making lists! lol Think the current links and all that have gone before will be scrapped as obviously, most were for a previous manager!
