Johnson Wins Soccer 7 Player Of The Tournament

Villa's youngsters may only be coming home with the runners up spot in the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens, but Daniel Johnson is bringing some silverware back with him.

After bagging five goals on our route to the final, Daniel Johnson now goes down in Soccer Seven history alongside other names from the Villa:

Jonathan Brewer 2002, Stephen Cooke 2004, Gabby Agbonlahor 2006, Zoltan Stieber 2007 and Barry Bannan 2008.

DJ received the award from chairman Tony Brastsanos in the post tournament ceremony.

Brastanos commented that DJ 'was the ultimate game changer' in the tournament.

Congratulations DJ!

I wonder if he can be a "goame changer2" for Villa next season too.

Well done lad, lets hope you show the same propensity for goal scoring for the first team when you break through.
