OGS Confirms Release Clause

Well another night, and another round of press comments from Molde and OGS. Even him leading them to another 3 points earlier today hasn't abated the storm started by his visit to Brum.

For the source please Click Here - and thanks to Villan of the North for the searching!

One of Molde's investors (Gjelsten) has revealed that he put money into the club on the basis that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a 3-5 year plan and that he wouldn't have done so if he'd known Ole would be looking to leave 12 months later.

'Our goal was to create a top club over time, and we have not had time yet. We might not be aware that prices could come as early. I helped with 20-30 million and I had never done if I knew that Solskjaer would disappear after one year.'

Now being fair to Ole he's at no point said he's leaving, he's said simply he would have to assess an offer from Villa if one came in, but as an offer hasn't come in he is honouring his contract.

Now following the release of these comments, Ole took the opportunity to put the record straight again after all the flak that has been directed his way.

Tellingly, even the journalist of the piece points out that Solskjaer has never hidden his desire to manage in the Premier League and if the funding from investors was key to the plan put in place then why allow Ole a release clause?

Ole said:

'I can confirm that I have a clause in the contract to be able to leave Molde to any Premier League club at any time.'

Why not simply have negotiated the release clause to not come into play until the final 12 months of his 3 year deal? He has 2 years left at the moment, and it would've saved a lot of fuss and trouble for Molde.

He added, in what can only be a barb at the release of his hypothetical answers yesterday, when asked if he would remain manager after their mid season break was over, he smiled and said:

'You can see how it has been when I've answered the hypothetical question before.'

He also failed to answer the question!

Will tonight be a quiet night? I thought last night was going to be, so let's wait and see.

Lol,funny old game mikey!!!
The fear
He wants the job Villa fans majority want him as manager but i have a feeling Randy and co will not listen to the fans as ever like last season and end up going for another manager shame i really got excited about the prospect of supporting a young positive prospect of a manager rebuild Villa and getting us playing some good football i would have been as patient as ever but knowing our club we will let this opportunity pass us by :(
