Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Confirms 'Informal Chat'

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Confirms 'Informal Chat'

http://fotball.ht.no/england/article237140.ece report that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will manage his club Molde this Sunday having held talks with Aston Villa.

The report confirms that Ole did travel to Birmingham for an interview but (as I`ve tried to say in the last two days!) this is a process, they are interviewing and it won`t be just one person spoken to, why should it be? This is where some of the blogs are just out of control and looking for hits making things up as fact. It is careless and lazy.

Ole told Romsdals Budstikke "I can confirm that I have spoken to Aston Villa. There were no negotiations, but first an informal chat. They also have other candidates they want to talk to."

Adding, "I wanted to show respect for one of the big clubs in the Premier League by meeting their questions about the initial call."

Ole also confirms: "I am the manager of the MFK and have only had a casual conversation. There will be fighting preparatory training in Molde on Saturday and Sunday game normally."

Liking the general direction we appear to be heading, younger, hungry, up and coming. Exactly what is needed. I reckon we`ll have our new man in place by the end of next week and then onto the player speculation.

Well on TalkSport just Grant Holt has handed in a transfer request as speculation mounts that Lambert looks set to stay at Norwich and Holt fancies a move away if Lambert stays, so does this mean OGS has agreed secretly to become Villa manager next week?

Despite the inexperience as a manager in the premier league i like the sound of Ole. He and Kevin Macdonald as his number to could do wonders with our youth team, which is great for our future and obviously our present. As im told, he likes to play attacking football, which even MON didnt do as he played the counter attack. With him being ex-Man poo though, i would expect him to be a favorite (if he does well) when fergie leaves, so i cant see him being long term. It would also mean we might get some of United's 'dead wood' like all his other managers have had. So with that in mind i ask who if any utd players would you want if Ole came. UTV !!! Randy Lerner - respect being gained once more

At least we're being kept up to speed by Ole, Lerner wouldn't think of doing that....

cheers Jongekki, get a bit wound up by those just chasing hits with made up stuff. I'd rather miss a scoop but try to get it right (try being the operative word! LOL) Cheers magicmerson!

Not sure there is much they can say Pride, they can't really have a story about every link, every interview etc. That is where we can do stuff and talk to fans etc and the official site has to run a more down the middle line (if that makes any sense at all, I'm at rambling stage of the day now!)

I'm probably in a minority of one on this but I actually like the fact our club doesn't offer comments on this kind of speculation. First of all it's really disrespectful to the clubs and candidates to be discussing them openly while they're contracted to and to be honest it's the kind of lack of class displayed by the likes of Whelan, Gold, Sullivan et al and Liverpool when they were tapping up our players. I'd rather rise above that kind of behaviour and maintain our integrity.
