McLeish - Unacceptable Display Today

McLeish - Unacceptable Display Today

Just today? Really? Are you so sure whilst you bleat on about being such a success with your actual factual record in the Premiership Alex?

scratching head

Fair do's this isn't quite as Ecking unbeileveable as proclaiming his defensive football is a myth (how many defenders on the pitch again today Eckmeister?) or the fact that he's played four forwards all season when factually he hasn't, but it's still one of the highlight interviews our manager has given since destroying our on pitch pride...the players don't get away blameless either, but that's for another day.

Speaking to the Official Site after today's utter embarrassment against Norwich City, he bumbled:

'That was an unacceptable display. It was flat. It was disappointing, it was an unacceptable performance in Aston Villa colours. I have to change that, there will be change.'

Well it's the same kind of defensive, tactically hampered performance that we've seen all season long Alex. Clearly you are incapable of changing that. We have midfielders on the bench, so you select extra defenders again when not only has it not helped us stay tight at the back, but it totally hampers us in terms of attacking - you know that frightful thing you say you do a lot of, not being defensive and all that jazz - or that jizz, I've got confused because of the smell of BS all season.

'People will talk of an end of season mentality this afternoon but I can't accept that because I've been used to winning trophies and medals throughout my career both as a player and a manager.'

Yeah, some managers like Championship medals, but generally they don't work on having a superior relegation record and losing more games than they win, because they think the only medals available are from the Championship.

Always somebody elses fault though isn't it:

'I have not had the riches to spend on players that other managers would have liked but I believe I can turn Aston Villa around by changing things around and adding to the quality, bringing players in who will work their socks off for this club and for me.'

N'Zogbia, Given, Hutton, Jenas, Keane, Stevens...the only real successes are Given and Keane but they were hardly punts. Nobody elses fault but yours if your judgement on players is off Alex. You spent a significant amount in the summer so don't bleat you haven't been backed because that's about as accurate as you know Gabby isn't a winger isn't it McDeluded.

Nice to possibly see confirmation that he hasn't got the dressing room though. Players who will work their socks off for him can only imply some players are as racked off as the fans!

The best bits though:

'I have got to try and build a winning mentality at this club.'

Presumably by selecting 6 defenders and playing 1 upfront.

'I think I can turn it around, I have done it before.'

Where, when, who, what and why and how as any good journalist would be asking there.

'We have problems, definitely problems. I said at the start of the season that if we lost some senior players it could be a battle.'

So that's why we didn't win many more games with the seniors before they got injured then eh.

And on that point, I lose the will to live when it comes to talking or discussing McIdiot anymore, however, I can't let this doozie go by.

Speaking to Sky Sports immediately after the game he mumbled:

'That was not an Alex McLeish team today.'

It was perfectly an Alex McLeish team because it's what we've seen for the majority of the season. You know it, I know it, he knows it but it appears only two of us will admit it.

Bye, just simply goodbye.

I just wonder what planet he is on. Because he certainly isn't on the same one as the majority of VILLA fans. Could he be reported to trading standards for passing himself as a football club manager? Still doesn't get it that he has to take responsibility for the crap we've had to put up with all season. Just go McClueless you are doing more harm than good to all around you, our club, our fans, our young talented players, yourself and your own family. Stop being a selfish ******** and see what you are really like!!!
