Shay Given You Naughty Bhoy!!!

Shay Given You Naughty Bhoy!!!

Little bit of a nothing story really but also, fairly badly timed and a bit rude to the Villa fans.

pointing

Shay Given, only last week advising the fans of our great manager etc, has told the Daily Star he is happy at Villa but would love to play for Celtic before his career ends.

Well, at 36, I wonder how long that is, 4 years? If so, fine, we have him another couple and then off he goes.

However, not sure the players when contracted to one club need to really talk about their wonderlust for another?

saving

'Never say never. I`m very happy at Villa but in football you should never close any doors. And there`s an outside chance it could happen."

You see, that sort of says to me, 'this place is ok, if I can though, I`ll jump ship!`

Wouldn`t mind, but from what we know he is on a big contract, at a time when the finances are awful and the performances match. Im afraid these guys see this place as a gravy train.

Well, if he wants it cushty as he slides into retirement, the SPL would be ideal retirement home for him.

Probably because a keeper doesn't NEED to command his box in Scotland so he'll have no need to start now!

I would have thought its written in his contract that if we get relegated he can leave.

I asked him after the game if he was here for another season, and he said "yup". I also asked Cuellar the same question and his response was that he wanted to stay but they don't want him. 1 hour later he's tweeted that he's gone! Damn shame.
