Peter Withe Wants To Make Villa Great Again

Not much in the player transfer gossip column today but manager wise...

Peter Withe says in the www.sundaymercury.net that he`d like the job and he`d put Villa back to where they belong.

I`m just in the process of hopefully organising an interview with the man with the golden shin, more of that next week if I can get it sorted.

Peter says: "If the opportunity to manage Aston Villa came up I would grab it with both hands and I know I would be able to put that club back where it belongs."

Would be lovely to have a proper Villa set up manager wise eh!? I always liked that about John Gregory, you could tell he`d bleed for the team. We might not be able to win the league now (sadly) so lets at least have someone we like!

That said, a good mate of mine was at Wembley yesterday for the FA Cup final and I did ask him to bring back Robert Di Matteo.

Heard him on Keyes and Gray recently, very entertaining. I understand he's going to work for a club in Stockport. Great Villan, great character. Wish him the very best of luck.
