How Supporters Player Of The Season Was Decided

How Supporters Player Of The Season Was Decided

Great stuff, had got confused re: the player of the season awards and I`ve seen a fair few on the site and on facebook (etc) asking how the votes were done.

Obviously Stephen Ireland won the fans player of the season award and to be fair, I should have remembered, as a Chairman of a Lions Club (see: Click Here ) how it was being done this year, especially as I`ve linked a good few times to the Lions site where the votes were being done!

My source at the club explained to your ever so thick Feario:

"The online vote for supporters player was managed slightly differently this year. Rather than one end of season vote, as per previous seasons, a man of the match was voted for by supporters after every game (The man of the match vote takes place on the lions club website but is promoted through the OS and our social media channels). The winner of the supporters player (Terrace Trophy) was the player who accumulated the most man of the match votes/points across the entire season. In this years case, Stephen Ireland."

So there you go folks. Will also hopefully put pay to the conspiracy theorists!

This was the page where votes were done for man of the match each game, you might well recall me linking a good few times whilst doing our own man of the match votes as well: http://www.avfclionsclubs.co.uk/

And the player did appreciate it, which is always good: It Means A Lot - Ireland

At least it put to bed that Fear was fiddling the votes by himself again.
