Mystic Mug v Lawro Faceoff: Villa v Spurs
Lawro has told BBC Sport he thinks Spurs will beat Villa 2-0 on Sunday.
The BBC pundit says:
"I cannot see anything other than a Tottenham win in this game."
Adding about Harry not getting the England job (he says he doesn`t think it is a major factor in Spurs slip in form, something OxfordSpur agree`s with in his interview: Click Here )
"The Tottenham players won't really have worried about it that much but they know now that Redknapp will be at the club next year and it is almost like putting your pair of slippers back on that you have lost for the last couple of days."
And on Villa: "Villa are in all sorts of trouble and I just wouldn't even tip them to pinch a goal. Alex McLeish's side might get lucky because I feel results for the teams below them will keep Villa up, rather than a positive result for Villa."

agrees. He is now level on predictions with Lawro on 14 each! He would love to risk a draw prediction to get ahead but says he isn`t stupid. 3-0 to Spurs is his shout.

Whatever happens, SURELY we can't put in as poor a performance (if you can even call it that) as we did at the Lane? I would expect Spurs to win, 2- or 3-0. Just can't see where goals will come from (unless it's a penalty or some other stroke of luck). I hate Lawro and almost never agree with him, but if we do stay up, it will be because of others and not through any of our own 'efforts'.

Probably 2-0 to Spurs, but if Weimann starts, it could be 2-1 to Spurs. Thats the best I can come up with lads and lasses..... sorry.

2 or 3 - 0 to Spurs seems about the best we can expect . But I hope we can pull off one of those amazing results that pop up from time to time (Wigan-Newcastle ! ) which makes football such a great game. Can't see it happening with this shower but I always live in hope & Spurs can be erractic although van der vaart always seems to do well against us

End of last season we pulled off some great wins...Sadly this time round with these tactics of ours it'll be at least 2-0 Spurs would not be surprised if it reaches 3 or 4. We will hardly have a sniff at the goal like usual.

I wouldnt say its as conclusive as that. Our win against Bolton was only our 1st win away from home in 2012. Spurs struggle when teams shut shop from early on....a tactic i expect Mcleish to employ given he has set Villa up very negatively all season. If Villa can stop us from scoring in first half or so then Spurs tend to get frustrated and run out of ideas.
That said, if we are really up for it and things go our way we could batter you. When the 1st goal comes and who its for will be crucial in the outcome of the match. Id say a draw suits Villa more than it does Spurs so that could play into your hands.

Just can't see us winning, BUT football can be strange, maybe we'll finally get to see the long since forgotten home win on Sunday? No, I don't think so either!

Well If Oxford Spur is right and Tottingham are a counter attacking team - we should be ok - as they will be confused when we dont attack them......

We might have a chance in this game (tongue in cheek) because spurs are at there best with lennon and bale on the counter attack. Fortunately for us we are so defensive minded and never laucnh a full out attack we wont get caught up there end of the pitch. I predict 0 - 0 shocker. UTV

The Fear
The only way Villa can win a game is by scoring with the last kick, we even proved against Bolton that if we score we will crumble. However I feel if we score with the last kick it will be 2 or 3 - 1 to Spurs. I am purely going to be supporting Stoke, West Brom & Blackburn this weekend!
