'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Congratulations Alex

I'm not exactly known as being a statto but I have remembered an article JF did the other day and it needs airing again.

Alex McLeish has now granted the Villa faithful our worst ever home season following tonight's loss to Bolton.

With only Spurs to go, we sit on four home wins all campaign and our previous worst number was six wins back in 1994-95 and 2004-05.

We sit in the league with 36 points, now only 3 points ahead of the relegation zone and our worst ever points total came in at 42 points also in the 2004-05 season.

Nice to know he's capable of beating records eh!

A tale of woe I know. 3 games to go, what do you do? Give in? What do we do...sack him now? Support the lads that are still fit? Hope we might get a few back from long term injury in time for Norwich? I live in hope but he has to go at the end of the season for the awful record. I went to VP, the fans were great.

Lerner is the real joker in all of this, it still begs belief that he actually gave him the job. Another stupid yank messing with things he knows nothing about, totally effing it up, and then eventually, no doubt, leaving it for someone else to fix and sailing back to the USofA. Randy your an idiot and I hate you. Please ***** off and never come back. For the love of god somebody shoot mc*****, it's the only humane thing to do.

He needs to be sacked tonight to give K Mac every minute possible to save us from going down

If McLeish doesn't resign or get sacked tomorrow then Randy and Eck are quiet possibly the biggest half wits in the history of football. Randy is meant to be a big hard bussiness man but to me he seems like a wet lettuce.... Grow a set Randy!! I'd say before it's to late but that was months ago, we are way pass to late it's now getting into the realms of delusion to not sack him.

KM is part of the coaching set up teaching these players to hoof it and panic, what makes you think he will be any better? 6-0 at Newcastle also springs to mind! We need someone with a bit of passion and to get some confidence In them for 3 games, Big Ron would be ideal in my view, big character who would get us some belief for final push

Best interim option? Big Ron and Gregory, both available.

I don't remember ever feeling so utterly devestated by football like I do tonight. Thanks Alex, Paul & Randy for making me feel this way. I hope you are proud of how you have managed to turn our famous club into a complete joke. Congratulations. NOW FVCK OFF!!!!!!!

Regardless of whether we stay up or not, he must be sacked at the end of the season. Our worst home record ever, our lowest points total in the prem and only 7 wins all season - this cannot be tolerated and any other club would have dismissed him by now. What gets me is that there's no strong media call for him to be sacked or even mentioning he's under pressure! They just all think it's cuz he managed the noses! The buck stops with randy he appointed him and he has let this go on way too long. Does he even know what's happening at our club? Or does he just read headlines saying mcleish breaks another villa record and assumes that means we are doing well??!! Pull your finger out!!

We do better we no manager or coaches and letting the players go out on there own at the moment, at least then we'd fill the stadium and have all the fans on board. I think right now 40,000 passionate fans that are right behind the team would bring more value than any manager.

This is a complete farce. Think retard will get the sack?...... not a chance, he hasn't been given the "Vote of Confidence" off the boardroom yet! We need to take as many banners to the Hawthorns on Saturday, Lerners' Gestapo can't stop us there........

Lol. Green Villan. He's already out, he's never here anyway. CANNOT BELIEVE that there's still a couple who think that he should stay because?!?!?! KMac looks after the reserves FFS. You don't see them playing so negatively. How dare you try to blame him when he's done do well this year. Shows what you know about football. The 6-0 was after Carew missed a pen and the Geordies were in payback mode after we'd relegated them last time out.

From what I can see its all going according to Plan. Only 7 win bonus's payed out this Season - Magic. No Players will be asking for higher wages - another plus. The chance that apart from Wolves 2 teams below us are worse so keeping us up - Result. No other Team will be sniffing around wanting to poach our Players, except maybe Bent. Oh and don't forget the Mugs (us) paying hundreds of pounds to watch this drivel season after season. Of course if I am wrong then maybe we should be looking up the times of Trains to Burnley , Leeds and Watford. Seriously its time the Board understood that its time to get shot of this Goon

worst Villa manager in history! we might have known it all along but its a fact now. Worst home record, fewest wins, lowest points tally (true?), no trophies and relegated

Utter drivel. I think we need a new thread Fear - the 'Alex Mcleish records broken at Villa' thread, with both of his home records (longest ever villa premier league run of games without a win, and least home wins all season). Personally, i can see him breaking quite a few more records as well by the end of the season if our fabulous board decide to keep the loser until the end of the season that is.

McLish's problem as a manager don't imo, stem from a lack of knowledge or ability to organise a team, it's far more simple than that, he doesn't command enough respect that the players listen to him and do as they are told, they don't trust him and as such he is an innefectual manager. He needs to go for the sake of everyone concerned. He's not the only one mind, a few players need to follow him out the door.
