'If It's Football, It's Vital'

One Back, One Out

James Collins has been ruled out of Tuesday's clash against Bolton, but Richard Dunne has rejoined training.

McLeish also remains hopeful that Gabby will be fit for tomorrow's clash, and says that Stephen Warnock has shaken off a virus he picked up.

Speaking to the Official Site Eck said:

'Collins is out, but Agbonlahor has got a chance. It's good news with Dunney, he has rejoined that group and, if he doesn't make West Brom, he should be ready for Spurs.'

Reaction to Dunney's return will no doubt be mixed from fans, but the risk is - with Baker performing well - does Eck chance Dunne being up to speed with every point and error counting?

Shows how much AM doesn't know what he's doing if he brings Dunne back, a defender who may have the experience but not match fitness.... its the forward line we have the concern with ... both Gabby and Heskey on big non scoring runs ....Villa its goals that you score that win matches !!!!

Agreed Eddy1.TBH, I'd play Heskey up front - yes Heskey! If he can hold the ball up, flick ons for Weimann etc we may score a goal. With Gabby......forget it!

Two we could do without.

Don't be daft even Mc Leish will not play Dunne tonight; he is pencilled in for Spurs and Norwich. We get 3 points this Evening and it does not really matter other than avoiding the embarrassment of not reaching 40. Any other result and we will be in serious trouble. COTVABU

Dunne's alright til he starts freestyling on the edge of his own box, makes too many mistakes for my liking. I'd rather put Hutton at centre-back because going forward he's got about as much direction as.....well, something without much direction

I'd like to believe that there will be no hoofing with Collins out but I will be proven wrong.

Cant see Dunne not playing tonight. If Collins was fit then no Dunne would not play but I have a feeling Alex will make a huge mistake and play him. Also cant believe I just read someone would rather play Hutton. Not that I disagree I just never thought we would reach a point where playing the second worst player I have ever seen at VP chosen over anyone let alone out of position.
