Villan Looking For Leadership

Villan Looking For Leadership

Shane Villains asks:

Where`s Wally? We Need Leadership Now At Villa Where`s Our Beloved Custodian Randy Lerner?

Where`s is our beloved custodian and hardcore villa fan with a villa tattoo at? His great club needs him now more than ever to lead. The useless CEO he left in charge of her has stood back all season and watched her get used, abused and dragged down to one of her lowest levels in our EPL history. She needs you now Randy Lerner to show your passion and love for her or is that tattoo you done for her just for show? How committed are you still in this relationship?

Let`s face it when things are going bad Randy Lerner runs off and hides away instead of taking charge and facing them head on. When Martin O`Neill had us winning you could not keep Lerner away from Villa. He even did interviews while making cups of tea and all sorts.

Now we need Randy Lerner to show what his made of and lead to lead instead of leaving in charge the most irrelevant CEO in the EPL. I doubt Faulkner can tell the difference between a corner and a free kick yet his the man left to make the footballing decisions at our club. So it`s no surprise we have ended with McLueless and his still here. Faulkner still thinks probably we still on course to qualify for Europe.

Now am not saying their perfect or best models because they do have their flaws but if you look at the likes of the Fenway group at Liverpool you can see why they are more successful with their sports franchises; John W. Henry and Tom Werner (Chairman) and how they deal with their sports franchises is a big difference to how Lerner operates. Lerner entertains failure as we have witnessed this season and at his American franchise Cleveland Browns he entertains hiring bums while in contrast Fenway are winners and act accordingly when they are needed by their clubs/franchises. Comolli has already paid the price for their failed purchases and for their league position King Kenny will be next. They see the over evaluation on those average British purchases like Carroll, Downing and Charlie Adam as a failure and recognise the carling cup is a meaningless trophy.

In comparison Lerner and our clueless CEO seem to think the carling cup is worth something which they rate McLueless for winning. Despite the fact that Birmingham City lost their EPL status and as a consequence lost and still losing millions as a result for ending up in the championship. Wenger has gone on record saying he does not care about the league cup even the F.A cup because champions League qualification is what really matter these days in establishing a clubs status and for the money it generates.

The ripple effects of this appointment if they persist with it will fully be realized next season mark my words especially in RL's pockets. Our reputation worldwide and as Midland`s finest has been shattered this year by the inept one. We play the worst football in the midlands yet alone the all of England now and soon we will be seen as the most defeatist and negative Club. Even Terry Connor`s Wolves have shown more ambition despite their relegation they put up a fight against Man City last night. Our Custodian has to do the right thing and fire this clueless joke as soon as possible to give the all club a boost. If we lose against Bolton and West Brom there will be a lot of heartache and tears.

It makes no sense any real villa fan whose emotionally and fully committed to villa can accept the McLueless garbage. There is a new breed of villans who are passionless and do not even bother knowing their villa history, reason why they are easily manipulated and turned into submissives who think we are a small that should accept mediocrity and everything our custodians serve up. This is not an attack on other fans but if your brother`s being misguided its healthy to challenge them and chastise them. As Villa fans we are all family whether we agree or like each other. And I hope we all want what`s best for villa to see her succeed and hopefully fully back to her former glory if we lucky.

It`s very healthy for us fans to scrutinize, criticize and challenge our owners when they get it wrong.

Top quality article and bang on the money. Mcleish is indefenceable.. You don't even have to pass opinion or comment as his stats do all the talking needed! I have tried to defend Lerner and Faulkner in the past but their refusal to even listen to Aston Villa supporters like myself who have been going to Villa Park for 35 years and face up to the huge mistakes they have made is also indefenceable. I had such high hopes when we had our takeover. I could never have imagined 6 years on we would have been led to this? Sad and shocking state of affairs and its starting to look more and more like 86/87 season all over again. At least Doug Ellis had the sense to immediately fire Mcneill after the season ended and appoint a young manager capable of rebuilding the club from top to bottom. Of course I am talking about Graham Taylor and within 3 seasons had us almost crowned champions of England when we finished runners up in 89/90. A bit like the renaissance of Newcastle since they were relegated only 3 years ago. Its all about the manager and we have completely the wrong one on every level possible. Until that is changed we will continue to sink without a trace!

I used to call him King Randy but now he's lost me, I want him out. No fan would want this or put up with this and the way he has ingnored and treated us is a disgrace. We all knew McLeish would do this and he went ahead and did it anyway, shows the respect he has for us. Eck out, Lerner out. Let's start a fresh because he obviously doesn't care and his tattoo must be fake.

Good article. Yes, the similarities are there which is a bad sign. But if you're looking for leadership from Lerner, forget it.

at this very moment Randolph is licking his thumb and rubbing the 'lion rampant' tattoo (transfer) off his leg.
