Mystic Mug v Lawro Faceoff: Villa v Sunderland

Lawro has predicted a 2-1 win to Villa on www.bbc.co.uk/sport

The BBC pundit says that, despite the diving penalty issue, Villa were never in the game against Manchester United and as Lawro says, 'Alex McLeish's men were too easily beaten."

He also says this is potentially our biggest game of the season because one more win should see us safe.

"I think they will get the win they need here, although I am certainly not convinced by McLeish's side."

He says that Sunderland have been inconsistent and are playing like the season is over.

However, Mystic Mug says MON will have his players fired up for this one. Returning to the fantastic club he betrayed by the manner of his exit, he`ll know he will face a mixed reception (see: Poll Results... How Will You Respond To MON? ) and will want the win.

We have little battle BUT the 'kids` are doing themselves proud, we just need some of the senior players like Gabby to step up, ignore McLeish if that is the problem, and do the Club he loves a favour. SHOOT on sight!

Mystic is going the opposite of Lawro, 1-0 to Sunderland.

What say you folks?

We always draw (unless the opposition are to be in awe of and we hand them the 3 points they quite rightly expect from us), therefore draw!

MON's 'score on the break' style should find an accommodating defence - 3 - 0 to Sunderland!

Considering we have won less games than Wigan, QPR and Bolton, I am going for a 0-0 draw.

Ideally we'll cruise this game 4-0, the defence will be switched on for the full 90 minutes and Gabby will huff and puff and blow Mignolet's house in! However, I'm sure it will be a very tight game, the defence will have its usual lapses and Gabby will provide some amazing assists from his newly-favoured left wing position. 2-2.

MON is going to have them ready for this one cant see us getting anything from it 0-2 hope his gloating keeps the cameras happy . Only thing I am not sure of is which managet to boo lol :) maybe both after the game.

MON's score on the break tactic will never work, we would need to attack for this to be possible and we don't do attacking. therefore, despite acknowledging that MON will have them fired up, there is a chance that our style, or rather lack there of,might just cancel their style (or, indeed, lack there of) out. It will probably be a close one that we could win but I expect us to lose by the odd goal.

0 - 0 bore draw & the 29000 crowd will just boo regardless

Sunderland have nothing to play for, and although McLeish can't get them fired up I think the prospect of relegation will. Villa win. 2-0

Fans to carry the team here, Villa 2 - 1

i think i'll go for a really bold prediction - we will go 1 up, leak a goal from a set piece after 70 minutes, and then act like a bloke desperate for the toilet trying not to ***** this trousers 1-1
bigolbear1970
have to agree with bigol, could start well but as soon as we score we will go back into our shell and sunderland will just attck the rest of the game, points shared I think, thats about the best we can hope for with the fool in charge but on a possitive note draw against SAFC and 1 more win be it bolton WBA or norwich and we should be safe and looking forward to the McDraw being sacked, usually I look forward to transfers but McDraw gone would be like buying a whole new squad!
