Unoial Villa News...

mmlozza: In keeping with recent traditions on this page, this article will be calling for a sacking/resignation. Not Alex McLeish though, sorry folks. While I defended my piece defending McLeish to the hilt the other day, it did leave me pretty exhausted mentally and emotionally. In my approach to writing this my attitude is 'if you can't beat em, join em' as opposed to 'if you can't beat em, play for the draw' as we've seen on the pitch in recent weeks. Of course, this is just speculation and mere paranoia from myself, but could it be possible that the reason McLeish seems to be so clueless when it comes to press conferences, pre and post-match talks and game plans during matches is due to the influence of his number 2 no.2? I was going to ignore this, bit weighed down by doom and gloom at the moment really... however, it is a talking point! WBA manager Roy Hodgson has told the baggies official site: www.wba.co.uk one of their main targets is to finish above Villa. It will be the first time in 33-years and to be fair, it will also be a bloooooody disgrace. Full article: Baggies Looking To Break 33 Year Villa Hoodoo

Carew AV: Villa Fan Will Be Cheering O'Neill All The Way

Grizzly: Last week when results at the bottom went in our favour. I was reliably informed by all sections of the media, particularly after our great point at Anfield, that all we needed were a couple of points and we would be safe. It was still mathematically possible we could go down of course though unlikely. Reassured, I felt safe to leave my TV screen in the knowledge that the Premier League awaited us next season. When Wigan beat Man Utd that forecast changed to one where we had to be careful and not take our foot of the proverbial gas, which we promptly did at Old Trafford, to the motley tune of 4-0. Is this the first glimmer of hope? The Daily Star has an article today... yes, yes, I know, it is a red top... however, we can but dream surely? Where was I? Oh yes, they say that Randy is looking at a total change in the summer including removing Alex McLeish.... Full article: An END To The Alex McLeish NIGHTMARE Coming?

Shane Villains says: The Pride Of Villa Lions

qldvillan: Whilst there have been many things that have bugged me about Villa over the years, the one thing that has consistently irritated me the most, has been our inability to press the ball correctly. There's a lot to be covered on this topic and you could easily write a book on it but I don't want to go in to that much detail. Full article: Why Do We Struggle To Press Teams Properly?
