Something to cheer about for a change fellow Vital Villans, the club have shortlisted the ten best strikes of the season and now you can pick your favourite.

Nine players make up the ten shortlist, with Stan featuring twice due to his crackers against Everton and Sunderland.

There's also Gabby's stunner against Blackburn that had most of us thinking we would have a more productive season, and the history books will forever recognise Marc Albrighton's 10,000th Premier League goal against Arsenal.

If only that really meant Albie had scored 10,000 goals eh!

There are a host of other contenders, well six, including Keane against Wolves and Weimann's sweet strike against Stoke.

To help you choose all the goals on the list are featured in a video and it's possibly the finest five minutes of the season if the truth is told.

Contenders for that award are Nathan Baker, Andi Weimann, Samir Carruthers, Gary Gardner, Graham Burke and Daniel Johnson.

Phew, got through all that without once mentioning I bet the shortlist wasn't difficult this year with only 35 ruddy goals in total...DOH!

didnt realise we had scored 10 goals this season....let alone decent ones. Seriously Weimanns or Keanes will take some beating

I went for Herd's as he has been the most consistent this season and his goal brilliant, my player young player of the season went to Weimann because he has shown more taste and fight for goal than all three of our professionals.

I went for Weimann on both young player of the season and goal of the season! Whilst it was tough to choose from the list given, I just feel Weimann recently has been most deserving of his chance in the first team. In the short amount of time that we've seen him, Carruthers has got me interested in seeing more of what he can do, but I didn't feel that was enough for me to vote for him. Obviously Weimann's goal goes without saying!

I'm with you on Weimann on both counts Callum_ws. The goal against Stoke from a youngster trying to establish himself in the first team was like a breath of freash air that any seasoned pro would be proud of. After the injuries he had to overcome, he is now showing his worth and deserves YPotS too.

Weimanns 30 yarder in the last minute against Fulham gets my vote. That may have been the goal that keeps us up.
