Weimann Relishing Experience

Weimann Relishing Experience

Andi Weimann has said this season has been great experience for our younger lads, and they are learning all the time.

Speaking to Talksport after the Stoke match, Weimann said:

'It's great for our experience to play out there. Against Liverpool it was more football and today it was more physical so you are learning every game. It's really good for the youngsters.'

There's certainly a number of them learning at the moment, Bannan, Herd, Baker, Lichaj, Gardner. We've had a cameo from Carruthers, and we shouldn't forget about the likes of Clark and Albrighton either. Weimann adds that it's the progress of all the old Academy lads that pleases him, not just his own which he's delighted about:

'It's the aim when you come to the Academy that you want to play for the first team. With so many coming through we are all happy to be in the team and hopefully it will stay like that as long as possible.'

Last time I saw something like this it was MANUre and the class of Becks, scoles, gigs, neville, butt, and any others I've missed. Get us a decent manager to make the best of this opportunity.

Yep, there isn't that much wrong that a decent manager couldn't put right. It is good to see so many Academy lads coming through and Andreas could become a real gem.

Great goal. It was brilliant to see one of our two efforts on target go in!!! Would like to have seen him shoot across the keeper when he was through in the last few minutes, but I am sure that McMuppet was instrumental in training that out of him. His two goals though have been vital in getting us 4 points. I anticipate even more from him next season when he works daily with a football manager who likes to play football (Poyet).

Voiceoftheholte, how do you know about the Poyet Zola thing, hope your not giving us false hope!!!

astonsteve - I only share the rumours. You know the sort of thing - I know a bloke who lives next door to the man whose uncle used to speak to the brother of Randys best mates cousin. I know a couple of people within the club. They have mentioned the behind the scenes meltdown over the season ticket consumer research indicating that Season Card renewals are about to be far worse than they already feared and that the names in the frame are Poyet and Zola. I know how chinese whispers develop, but if true I also think this is the most positive 'news' coming out of the club in a long time.
