Dunne On Schedule For Return

Richard Dunne is on schedule for his return to first team action, so he's decided against a trip to the Browns so he can focus on his rehab.

Dunne had previously agreed to spend a week with the Browns to tap into their expertise in upper body injuries, but as he's on track it was decided he would benefit more by being able to focus on his football rehab.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Alex McLeish explained the decision to forego the trip by saying:

'He didn't go because he's got a lot of football rehab to do and he would not get it out there. He's making quite good progress and I think he's on schedule for the repair of the break. We can't rush him back, but he's training well.'

It seems that most are confident that Dunne will return in time for the Albion game and to brighten Republic hearts he should be fine for the Euros.

Would rather have Clark or cuellar fit, but at least it could be another body

Agree, hope he is ok for the Republic. If he's match fit before the end of the season give him a couple of 2nd team outings then have him on the bench just in case. Young Nathan is doing quite nicely and gaining some much needed experience.

get him fit, then in the summer, get him sold.
The Fear
Not like you, Mr Fear, to make a negative comment about a player on this forum, but I have to agree, the Dunney Monster as looked sluggish this season. Would be O.K as a tempter for Blackburn to help us to get Dann for small cash outlay IMO. Even though I love Dunney's attitude, he's not had a great year.
