'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Randy - Stay Strong For Stan

In his latest visit to Bodymoor Heath, Randy Lerner spoke with the team and urged them to stay strong for Stan and finish the season on a high for him.

Speaking to the Official Site Alex McLeish talked about the surprise team chat:

'Randy was in on Tuesday morning. He was with Stan on Monday but he came up and spoke to the lads and said a few words about Stan. He wished the players all the best and to be strong themselves and be in charge of their own destiny for the remaining eight games. It was good for the chairman to do that with the boys. He also told the lads to have the confidence and belief in themselves and for the youngsters to really make a go of it.'

You would think the chat had the desired effect as McLeish was clearly positive afterwards, taking time out to discuss the progress of Jack Grealish this season, joking it's been all of 3 inches:

'It's an opportunity for these boy, the majority of them have trained with us the whole season. The likes of Jack have made a 'guest' appearance every now and then. From the start of the season I've seen him grow about three inches!'

All joking aside, McLeish adds about the youngsters:

'At the end of the day if you are good enough, you're old enough, and it doesn't matter about age. The thing we have got in our favour is that they have been in and around the older guys, we don't have to lower the level of training because they are all up to speed.'

Well if that's true, I look forward to seeing a number of them gaining their substitute debuts before the season ends Alex.

Chelsea may have been forced, let's make it a conscious choice for the remaining games - they are afterall our future if they are good enough and they'll be here long after the seniors who have let us down two + seasons in a row.

Well at least Randy has worked out that Eck's team talks aren't up to it and glad that he's decided to step up to the plate and do his manager's job for him.

Oh Yeah, stay strong for Stan, just like we are, and we're also staying strong in wanting Idiot out ASAP Randy. Nice of you to drop into Bodymoor Heath, will you be stopping in England long enough to watch our mauling at Liverpool?

How could Randy Lerner have thrown away everything he achieved and built at Villa for Alex McLeish? Unbelievable lack of judgement.

Lovely touch - respect man.

Hopefully whilst he is over he can get Poyet and Zola to dot the i's and cross the t's so they are in place and have time to wheel and deal in the transfer market before next season. At least it now seems the club have accepted that McMuppet will never ever be accepted at Villa. Good to see Randolph leading from the front though.

19th minute, home and away, every game until Stan beats this terrible illness. Randolph has done his bit, lets ensure we continue to do ours!!!
