Weimann Bouyed By Young Fighting Spirit

Andi Weimann has said there were plenty of positives that can be taken from the Chelsea game, and he thinks if the youngsters can step up like that more often, we'll win more than we lose.

Speaking to the Official Site Weimann said he was pleased with our second half comeback, even though we then shot ourselves in the foot again:

'We showed we can play football against Chelsea, even though we are only young players. If we play like we played, we'll get a few more wins in. You can take the positives, we're a young side but we came back.'

Weimann acknowledges the overriding factor was disappointment after fighting back to still not get anything from the game, but that's a learning curve that our youngsters have to experience and in the long run they will be better and stronger for it.

Looking at the line up very few probably expected much from the game, but it was a better performance than most of the season and the kids showed plenty of heart.

If that attitude had been on show more often for the last few months I doubt anybody would be talking about relegation.
