'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Petrov Thanks Fans

Stiliyan Petrov has thanked the fans for the reception he received at today's game against Chelsea.

Speaking to the Official Site after the final whistle, our Capitan said.

'I would like to thank all of the people who have left messages of support - the response has been overwhelming and I appreciate it very much. With the help and love of my family, my teammates, all of friends in football, Aston Villa Football Club and all of the fans, I am sure I will beat this illness and I am determined to do this. For me, football will have to take a back seat but I'm here to support my teammates today and I will continue to support them, as I know they will support me. Thank you to everybody.'

Its the least you deserve Skip, hopefully WHEN you beat this illness you can either comeback as a player someday or a coaching role etc

if you put the sort of effort into beating this as you do in a Villa shirt then you've no problem beating this . Good luck from all the California Villans .
