Aston Villa have announced a pre-season tour to the States.

Philadelphia Union - July 18 at PPL Stadium
Chicago Fire - July 21 at Toyota Park
Portland Timbers - July 24 at JELD-WEN Field

Last time we went was back in 2007.

I was going to put up quotes from the manager and CEO but see little point as it will just be ripped apart in fairness. Full quotes: Click Here

Information on tickets will be available from the ticket office (0800 6120970) and

Also, every supporter who renews or buys a new season ticket before May 31 will be entered into a prize draw to win a trip to be part of the club's US Tour - Click Here

Good decision not putting the Managers thoughts. He will probably get the blame for the teams we are playing and the dates clashing with someones wedding or something. Im all for giving him stick for team issues in terms of results, selection and tactics but there are certain things that are beyond his control that people are still putting the boot in which helps nobody
If Eck's gone soon then i'll be there....Portland is one of my favorite cities :)
is there anything we can do about all these videos?! I keep forgetting about them and getting caught out at work!
Haven't posted for a while but I'm so excited to go see the Villa in Portland. My brother and I will be having a road trip from Vancouver to go see the game. Does anybody know if there will be an away section or will we be spotted about like most North American sports?
And where's the fixture at Real Salt Lake is what I want to know!
The right hand one has a mute which stays on for entire user session no matter how many pages you go on. One in article is meant to be click to play but appears to be playing up. Trying to get them to fix. Needs must when the devil knocks though, recession hit hard, we are trying to make some money back! Peed off the one in articles is going auto play sound on intermittently though, it is not meant to be.

You may not have put any quotes in, but I feel obliged to. One is genuine and the other is a fictional, future quote, although, It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to believe both of them to be straight from the horses mouth. Tuesday 27th March, Alex McLeish - "The competition will be good and the facilities top-class, so this will be great preparation when the time comes for the season ahead. We’re not taking our eyes off the immediate challenge by any means and our focus is very much on this weekend’s game against Chelsea at Villa Park." Monday 2nd April, Alex McLeish (AFTER the Chelsea game) - "We were never going to beat Chelsea as all of their players are better than ours - even Solomon Kalou! I instilled that message to the players all week in training. Until the fifth goal went in I felt we were still in the game. I think my game plan was excellent and evidenced my expansive, 1970's Dutch 'Total Football' philosophy but the players failed in the application of this philosophy. I gave the youth players 15 minutes at the end to try and turn the deficit round but they failed so they are to blame for the loss. Emile Heskey was immense for us. LEAVE MY CLUB ALONE!

heavy d. hahahaha. Brilliant. Can't believe it but Weimann will cost us the game on Saturday by not scoring 5 goals to get the draw our defensive display will deserve.
If the club are going to the States to improve Villa's status and marketability - then here is a tip for you, sack McLeish! Much easier, much more satisfying.
Weimann will fail to score five goals and salvage a result- after being deployed on the wing! Square pegs and round holes comes to mind??? McLeish should stick square pegs up his round hole and then, maybe, he will suffer as much discomfort as we have this season. Mind you, being the 7th best paid Manager in the prem (still can't believe we paid compo for him too) he can afford a hell of a lot of Preparation H! LOVE VILLA, HATE MCLEISH
