Talksport Slur Villa... Disgraceful Translation!

Talksport Slur Villa... Disgraceful Translation!

Talksport, this is a disgrace to be quite honest:

Article: Click Here

Dost told Der Telegraaf: 'That I knew. I know the club is not very good, but the interest is great."

As we reported the other day (see: Sunday Press AVFC Transfer Talk ) the player actually said:

'It is positive news. You hear this and of course it is nice to know they are interested. Aston Villa is a club I don't know very well, but they look good. I have spoken with my agent and we won't be discussing anything during the season.'

Or, as a chap on the talksport article comments said, from other reports his quotes are:

'"I have heard about the interest from Aston Villa and it is very flattering and nice. I have been aware of it for some time. Villa are not having a good season, but it still looks a good move.".

How have talksport translated it so differently to everyone else?

Villa and it`s fans deserve far more respect than that. We are having a bad time of it of late but we are still one of the greats, we have a ground that is top notch, a passionate and loyal fan base and training facilities that are up there with the best of the world. No, the McLeish situation isn`t great at the moment but there is still much to be proud of at the Club for the Claret and Blue army. Talksport should be experienced enough to know fans don`t talk about Clubs in this way and could have double checked.

So, come on Talksport, correct the article and give us an apology... thanks! ;o)

It's talkSPORT, what did you expect from a station that employed the draconian minds of Keys and Gray? As for an apology? Got more chance of them running a story calling McLeish a useless See You Next Tuesday...

Bristol, there's only one Andy Gray!! Talksport are ridiculously pro Spurs (as is most of the media) but they are right to take the Michael out of us Grizzly. We are a laughing stock regardless of past glories. We are not one of the greats at the moment either. Don't think that the 3 examples of the translation differ much anyway. Can we get a Dutchman to translate??

Don't expect any sensible reporting from Talkshi!te. They are completely full of cr&p over-the-hill Murdoch rejects. I simply laugh at their daily attempts to destablize Arsenal with their crass headlines and embarrassingly illiterate jocks.

As you say do talksport matter ? no probably not but this supposed comment was picked up and appeared in bbc gossip and will probably spread to how many other places. As Grizzly says it needs correcting.
