Villa Groundsman In Running For Award Again

Not re-writing this, I'll just take an excerpt and link to the official site:

Jonathan Calderwood is in the running to win the Barclays Premier League Groundsman of the Year award for the fourth consecutive year.

Calderwood is up against groundsmen from three other top-flight clubs in the final of the prestigious competition, with judging set to be finalised next week.

Main point of this is to wish Jonathan luck from us all and also to salute the guy. I've not met him directly but know a fair few who have and they say he's a gentleman and a scholar, as well as a Villa pitch obsessive, which you can tell as the pitch is always something to behold (and yes, before anyone else pipes up... unlike some of the football ON the pitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Good luck and keep on bringing us the outstanding pitches, one day the football WILL match it!

always a lovely pitch, love going to VMF on the night times as the lights are often on the pitch (grass growing lights, not the floodlights) and it just looks space age!

Is it ok to say it should be a good pitch with the amount of tihs played on it !

As the ball hardly ever touched the grass around midfield (expect for Swansea passing it around us) i doubt it needed much work in that third
