Was It Right To Postpone Villa v Bolton?

Was It Right To Postpone Villa v Bolton?

I must say I`m surprised there is any sort of debate at all around the postponement of the Villa v Bolton game, but then, football and the debates surrounding it never cease to surprise me!

The Villa v Bolton game has naturally turned to the postponement issue: Click Here

It was a no brainer, it had to be cancelled and in fact, if it hadn`t, I`d already said to my mate, I`d re-assess whether I was going to follow Premiership football any more. If it had been played and we`d won, it would have been a hollow / nasty victory.

Anyway, join in the debate if you wish, do you think it was right? Our latest poll asks the very question!

One thing is for certain, everyone`s hopes and prayers are with Fabrice Muamba.

Who are these people voting "No"? Yeah Im disappointed the game is off but a 23 yr old man lies fighting for his life in hospital. A man who is friend and work colleague of all of the Bolton players. How could the game be played? Some people really a F'kin clueless.

Clueless and incredibly selfish. But I guess that's the modern world we live in. Self, self, self.

Astounded there was any need for a poll. how could the Bolton team & staff be in the right frame of mind to play given what happened. Can only hope the lad recovers fully and wish his family well.

personally I think it was 100% the right thing to do but if you think otherwise try looking at it from the clubs point of view, it's well known that bolton asked for the match to be postponed what kind of PR do you think we would get if we said no and tried to make them play it?!? I don't know about putting potential fans off I think that would even make me question my allegiance. Here's hoping he recovers soon and best wishes to his family.

Agree with all of the above. For people voting no if it were a Villa player in the same situation would you want the match to go ahead??? ....

There are some serious ignorant selfish people around, how can bolton prepare for this fixture when a player is fighting for his life? They need some help.

Who ever voted that the game should not have been called off should be refused access to the site. What an utterly despicable action. Fear, surely there is a way of doing this from poll logs?? These idiots should not be wanted on this forum.
