Weimann's Career Changing Goal

Chris Herd has described Andi Weimann`s goal against Fulham as career changing, and he now believes the young Austrian will go from strength to strength in the first team.

Speaking to the Official Site Herd said he believes Weimann's debut league goal will be certainly be the first of many after watching him progress through the ranks over the last few years:

'Andi is a great player, he's got a lot to bring - goals, up play - he`s only young as well so he`s going to be a great player here.'

As for his Fulham goal, Herdy added:

'I think a goal like that can change your career, he'll kick on and get more goals and who knows where he can go from there.'

In more controversial news, Herd says that Darren Bent is a big miss for us (that's not the controversial bit), that it's a great time for the BigWeeman to show us what he can do (that's not the controversial bit) and we have a 'big' enough squad to cope with!?!?!?

Big squad, honest bunch of lads, insipid...sorry lost track for a second.

'Darren is a massive miss, but we're a big squad, we're all in it as a squad and we believe in everyone's ability so hopefully Andi can step up and fill the gap.'

Did Herdy not get the message that we are a miniscule squad, with hardly any options, and McLeish has few choices when it comes to a match day squad of 13?

ps - I'm a sheep, I agree with the Herd on this point.

I suppose we do have a big enough squad if you include all the players we've sent out on loan. Together with the youth/reserve squad, injured players and the cleaners........
