'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bannan Calls For Fulham Repeat

It's a Barry Bannan press day today, and he's called on the team to go to the wire again like we did against Fulham to ensure we pick up another 3 points against Bolton.

Speaking to the Official Site Bannan said everybody knows we should've done better against Wigan and Blackburn, so we have to ensure we take maximum points from Bolton.

Bannan taking pen

'We felt we should have got more out of the games against Wigan and Blackburn, certainly our performances merited more than a point in both those games. It was a great feeling to grab the win so late in the game against Fulham. We didn't give up at all, in fact we fought all the way and got rewarded in the end. That's the spirit we have to show in the remainder of our games. The mood is very positive and everybody is working hard to achieve the results we all want to see.'

The win over Fulham, and a far more pleasing performance to boot, has lifted a fair few spirits but one swallow doesn't make a summer as the saying goes. Back to back wins would certainly lift spirits further, but we've been in this position before and not kicked on.

Even if we manage to kick on now, for some it'll be too little too late, but it would be nice with the dross we've had to endure if we could finish the season on a high.

LoL I have a funny reply but can't be arsed to post it, much like the Villa squad this season.
