McLeish Wants Ruthless Villa

Alex McLeish has called on the squad to show some ruthless professionalism when we face off against Fulham at the weekend.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game McLeish said he wants to see us end our disasterous home form and pick up a much needed 3 points to register our first home win since....November last year!

'I think we've been unlucky in one or two games but I also believe we have shot ourselves in the foot with backpasses, own goals and that kind of thing. We've got to get back to getting shut outs. If we get a goal when we are on top, let's get another one. It's about showing a ruthless professionalism and mentality.'

Oh well, if it's that easy then bring on a 10-0 victory!

Well one thing can be sure, we'll be playing four forwards like we have all season, we'll perform admirably and it'll be a delight of an attacking display for the home faithful!

So the idiot still blames everyone else for not winning at home for 5 months !

I think McLeish talks crap. Talking about "shut outs" when we're at home? It's just pathetic. Where's the inspiration? Anyone fancy us to win tomorrow? Enough said.

Ruthless? Getting another goal? Surely that would entail "attacking" the other team when we already have a goal lead. Does he even know who he is anymore?

Unlucky in one or two games...... What about the other 25 ya goose!?! The only thing that has been unlucky to Villa this season is Randy having a wine with you and you thinking you can do the job!! PACK YOUR BAGS SON

'Villa to get ruthless'? For once I agree Alex, so can we start by handing you your P45?

So word of the week is ruthless ... last week it was clinical .... if we get beat by Fulham will his word of the week be 'I resign' .... should be if we do but I expect he will still be there Monday morning :(

Comical Ali (ck) . Talk is cheap and just because he says something, doesn't mean it's true." We have to get shutouts" fair enough but, the "if we get a goal " bit indicates that he has no plan to score and thinks that it just happens from time to time during a match just by hoofing the ball into the oppositions half and crossing his ginger fingers!!

I am a natural pessimist, but something tells me after 1 point out of the last 21 at home, and with Fulham on fire, this is the match we actualy will get the three points. 2 0 Villa, providing he leaves Ruth out of the team
