Gabby Agbonlahor has called on the fans to make the difference against Fulham, but he realises it's the players job to give us something to cheer about.
Speaking to the Official Site Gabby said the team need to show the fans that they are fighting for everything:
'Our home form has been disappointing, we know that. We need to go out there and start well and get the fans on our side. We need to show the fans that we are fighting for everything and we can get the result we need.'
Speaking more specifically about the fans, he added:
'The fans can make the difference, if they really get behind the team and the players it can give everyone a real life. They can be the 12th man. We need every single one of them to support us from now until the end of the season.
Now there is a part of this interview that hasn't been carried by the OS here.
'The fans are entitled to their opinions but the chairman has made a choice in bringing the manager here and everyone has got to get behind him. I think it affects the players otherwise, it does have an impact on the players and does affect them when fans are not backing the manager and not turning up in games.'
I think you would describe the reaction to those particular comments as split - Forum Thread
It seems the consensus is maybe the players should start performing for the manager, instead of asking the fans to blindly back him?
