Stevens Pleased With Villa Park Debut

Enda Stevens made his Villa Park debut in the second string clash against Newcastle and he's hoping it will be the first of many appearances at B6.

Speaking to the Official Site after making his bow, the young left back said:

'It's a good feeling to go in the dressing room, put on the jersey and then to come out at Villa Park on any occasion, no matter what it is. It was excellent, the pitch is unbelievable out there and it is just good to be involved.'

It was a solid performance from Enda in the 4-0 victory, and with a bit of luck it may even have been a better VP debut and seen his first goal for the club, but unfortunately the pesky keeper managed to parry it away.

'I came close, it's the closest I have come so far but hopefully there is more to come. I like to get forward and you get the chance to when you have got people that are so good on the ball.'

Faith and trust in your team mates, it epitomises the second string who are again surely a shoe in for the southern title.

Well done Enda. Looks like he will become a valuable asset at VP. And what a bargain too.
