'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Randy Not As Anonymous As Some Claim

Stiliyan Petrov has said that Randy Lerner is still a regular at Bodymoor Heath and he's as involved with the players as he always was.

Speaking to the Official Site our Captain said:

'The chairman has been to training quite a few times and he's been in a good mood. He's tried to give positives to all the members of the club. We hope that this year we will be comfortable and next year we hope that we will kick off with a better start and then a better season.'

In Sky Sports coverage of the interview they add that Petrov also said that the Chairman had made the players totally aware of the financial situation and the plan for stability.

Stan moved onto the upcoming Fulham game, and he said the team were confident that they could overturn our home Fulham hoodoo and take all three points:

'We have to end that hoodoo, the fans were brilliant at Ewood, we know it's a frustrating time but we will get out of this position. We know how Villa Park can be intimidating and we are looking for that against Fulham, it will be a good game and we will give it a go.'

Maybe it's the pessimism getting to me, but my money would be on draw number eight.

"hope we will kick off with a better start and then a better season"..... we couldn't of had an easier start to this season and what happens?...... And how about Lerner attempting to give the supporters some positives?.... like getting rid of our resident Idiot!!!!!!!

So he's not staying away, he's just hiding away. What a coward, he appointed McLeish, he should come to Villa Park and take the blame for it and actually watch the mess this idiot is creating! Randy Lerner, a man who wants the best for Villa, but has no idea how to bring the success he craves.

Why on earth has Randy been turning up all smiles?? We are playing the worst football in living memory, he's just lost 50 odd mil, his missus has left him. And people wonder why he chose Eck, maybe he's just a sadist and loves pain, misery, disappointment etc.

Just really - and I love Stan, my favourite servant to this club now I think - wish that players did no talk about games apart from on the pitch at the moment.

Is it true Randy's missus left him because he appointed Big Eck?

Stan you are the man but please stop all these lame comments trying to cover over the massive cracks Eck and Randy have made, you are a legend but you're starting to sound silly, Eck is rubbish and we are a joke at the minute. I wouldn't know where Randy is or what he does!?!?! Is he a mute because that would explain a lot, as if you wouldn't speak when you own the joint

"what my love, you appointed Eck the blue noser! Well you have lost the players, the fans and now me. For that reason.......I'm out"!

Fulham will be hard to beat so I cannot see us getting anything, let alone a draw.

I love Stan too and yes it's pure drivel but I suppose these players have press duties and when asked questions they have to give the right answers, same as Keane and Gardner recently saying how Eck is on par with Sir Alex Ferguson. As for Fulham, I think we'll win for the simple reason that nobody expects us to beat anyone right now, and ain't that just football. Actually forget that, the football gods hate us, what am I talking about.

Hahaha Stephen, it's so like that at the minute huh mate! Even my heart is thinking a Fulham win. Usually it would say a Villa win even if we were playing Barca..... So sad. Jol would have been good hey Randy? He was free too.

Cant see a guy saying anything bad about the man who pays his wages.sounds like stupid questions time.As for next season think we better see some improvement in how we play this season first because if the present dross continues Villa park will be half empty next season.
