Myths & Blame - McLeish

Myths & Blame - McLeish

Alex McLeish has accused the fans of believing in myths about our style of play, and moreover it's all the players fault.

Speaking to Talksport following the game, the interview was going perfectly as he said:

'We've certainly got the application from these guys, they are working their socks off to try and make the Villa fans happy.'

It then rapidly went downhill:

'I know it's a results business that we're in and that the biggest reason that there's a little bit of dissent, in terms of style of play and all that mythical stuff, is because we haven't had the results that Villa fans feel Aston Villa should get, and I'm totally with them on that. But believe me it's not style of play. We don't ask the players not to express themselves, but sometimes they don't bring everything to the park.'

He also babbles on about needing the fans to be the 12th man in our next few games. The 12th man isn't the problem, a fair few of the 11 on the pitch seem to be the issue and the management I have thought?

But what do I know, I haven't realised we've been playing brilliant football all season and nor that we've had four forwards on the pitch permanently either.

so it's the fault of the a)fans b)players c)pitch (last week) d) the ancient greeks e)shay given - for not being another forward....the man(?) certainly knows more about football than any pundit or fan of the game as they tend to disagree, and yet, at the end of the season our chairman is going to give mr i haven't put a foot wrong money to go out and buy a new team.......i reckon he'll come back with 20 rothmans and a scratchcard!

Give the man a break, he's a great manager and the best Villa could have right now. Get over the Blues connection and support him and the team. Villa fans are deluded thinking they should be aiming higher. The only "myth" is that Villa are still a big club. Yours truly, the media and British football pundits.

What a shock he blames everyone but himself and his mythical tatics, I wonder is he so stupid he actually doesn't know what a myth is? does he think having 11 men behind the ball is possitive? maybe he is just one of those people that have a brain that everything means the opposite...thats the only eckcuse I will accept.

Steven Jay, I take it you are being ironic? Support the manager? You are joking aren't you? If not then your real surname must be McLeish... Shameful game, shameful owner, treble shameful manager. Clueless.
