Mystic Mug v Lawro Faceoff: v Blackburn Away

Lawro has sneaked into the lead 9 right predictions to 8 having said a draw v Wigan.

Mystic Mug is not amused! What a berk, he said Villa would win. I mean, what would give him the right to think that Villa could possibly go to the bottom team in the league and win?! Ridiculous!

The mystic one has polished his balls and ... no, he is still deciding so lets see what Lawro says on BBC Sport :

"I still maintain that, out of the teams at the bottom of the table, Blackburn are the biggest scrappers but they just did not turn up against Manchester City last weekend and they were well beaten. At times that looked like a training game for City but I think we will see something different from Blackburn at home, and this is a great time for them to play Aston Villa."

Ouch, can`t argue with that. The teams we are playing right now are used to battling, not sure our Villa boys are?

Lawro points out that we are struggling and with the loss of Robbie Keane and Darren Bent, we could carry on struggling all season.

Lawro says 2-0 to Blackburn.

And mystic? Well, he`s jumping on and off the fence but has settled on 1-1 although in his heart, he`s fearing that Lawro is bang on.

What say you folks? Leave your predictions in the article comments and vote on our win/lose/draw poll on the right hand side of the site.

Villa win! Away fans must support the team whatever and together we can win. I di like some of the Blackburn players, Hoillet for instance but as long as w can stop the Yak from scoring, why can't we win? After all their fans are revolting against the club and that unrest must give us a chance!

Going for a draw, just cant see a win, even if we played the blind school I dont think we could win.Come on Villa prove me wrong.

I am very worried about the Villa; I said long ago that Mc Leish could very well be the only Manager in Premiership history to relegate two different clubs in successive seasons. A loss Tomorrow and obviously we will be getting much closer to that. One thing for sure if we do get into a relegation fight we will lose, we have the worst manager in the league (By a Country mile), and we have players that are at best average. A draw tomorrow and a win v Fulham then just maybe we will survive. Anything less than 4 points from those two would be very serious. I fancied us last week to win, after seeing that game I doubt we will get anything tomorrow then again we are the Villa. COTVABU

Honestly. I can see us winning this one handsomely. The loss of Bent could be a blessing - he's a work shy sod! Ok, he got us out of the **** last year - but that was with Downing and Young supplyng the ammo. He's not the player we need for the kinda fight we are in now. McLeish will be now be forced to play players in their correct positions, i.e. Gabby up front, Ireland in the hole with Albri nad N'zog on the wings. Fair bit of flair there so we would need a quite defensive mid pairing of Petrov and Herd? I think that's a pretty decent set up to win that match v a side shipping goals for fun - with the bonus that Gabby will work his effin sox off in the lone striker role? Let's just hope that Eck doesn't **** it all up and pick Heskey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! C'mon the Villaaaaaaaaaa

Seeing Blackburn as the opposition i automatically think win (like most other Villa fans i imagine) but i felt exactly the same way last week against Wigan and that didnt go to plan. Maybe i am living in the past? Im very worried about this one, if i was offered the ugliest 1-0 win in the history of football, I would take it. You never know we might score 4 for the first time since we played Blackburn in Feb 2011?

I can see us getting turned over here we really are the worst side I've seen this season , totally clueless .

4-1 to Villa with Heskey scoring a hatrick ! yeh yeh then I woke up and it was a o-o draw. With the biggest laff being the after match interviews with these 2 managers.

It won't be pretty but I think it'll be 1-1. I'd be quite happy with that the way things are going.
