Petrov Back For Blackburn

Alex McLeish is confident that Stiliyan Petrov will return for the Blackburn game.

Speaking to the Official Site McLeish explains why Petrov missed the Wigan game, and expressed his belief that he would go straight back into the squad:

'Stiliyan pulled a thigh muscle in training on Monday. I think he'll definitely be okay for Blackburn.'

Petrov in action

With Petrov's absence as we know McLeish turned to Gardner and Bannan, and at least here he is complimentary to their performances:

'We had two kids in midfield, well done them. Barry grew into the game and big Gards still has a lot of learning to do, but these games will do his education no harm at all.'

If Idiot isn't gonna pick neither Zoggy or Ireland when Stan is out, I will admit, I'll be glad to see Stan back as we needed some experience in midfield last Saturday. As we all know, Idiot couldn't pick his nose!.....

Missed Stan a lot on Saturday, why Ireland wasn't his replacement is beyond me. In fact everything has been beyond me since the summer. I have run out of walls to bang my head on.
