Villa Fans - GATVOL

The Wigan debacle is just a continuation of the diminishing stature of a once proud club.
Aston Villa's 11th draw is so familiar in the West Mids.

Its an Alex McLeish trademark.

One that has seen Birmingham City relegated twice in three seasons.

Villa fans for three seasons under Martin O'Neill walked proud, chests pushed out and flirted with champs league football. That Villa team were a handful. They were solid at home, fantastic away, scored goals for fun from set pieces, conceded very little and always looked like they could beat anyone. And they did !

Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool were no longer matches Villa conceded to before kickoff. They were beating these sides and claiming headlines on Sunday mornings.

A few seasons on and poor if not detrimental appointments of the last two managers, Villa fans are scratching their heads and looking both up and more worrying over their shoulders.

Relegation would be a nightmare but very possible.

Villa haven't won at home since before bonfire. Records are being set for wrong reasons. Team selection has become shock and awe ramblings and Villa are fast sliding down the table much to their beloved fans disgust.

They have every right to demand more. If away support is anything to go by, loyalty from the claret and blue faithful should never be questioned.

However, hoards of disappointed and disgruntled fans from an economy already at dire straights will be spending Saturday afternoons doing algebra with their kids instead of honoring their intent to support the Villa. An empty Villa Park ? What a kick in the teeth to football that would be !

Can't blame them can you ?

Is it too late ? Perhaps there's still time but even that's a stretch. Villa are being sucked in and the current setup at the helm show no suggestion that they will change it around.

I'm a Villa fan - always have been, always will be.

I'm with the thousands of other fans. I want change - now !

The Chapter and Verse of Aston Villa FC is quickly and worryingly becoming the fast and furious !

Gatvol ! ( Afrikaans for Fed Up )

the guys on sky sports yesterday were having a giraffe... paul merson hasnt a clue sometimes... saying theres no money in the club... which i believe to not totally be true... this **** has had 20 milli to spend and the best signing was a no brainer so he cant take credit for that... the situation is unfairly reported imo

Seen our remaining fixtures? Ouch.

Will 35 points be enough to stay up?

agree CDX, they wanted to sort wages, fine... there is money, has been money, a lot has been spent. Some of these players need moving on but this season is mis-management (as we were told by Blue noses!) and there is no other excuse.
On a human level, I despise what is happening, the anger, the language etc... always hated this side of football where it goes beyond disliking the job a manager is doing BUT this was ALWAYS going to happen with this one, always.
The Fear
this from a fan who regularly flies over from South Africa by the way. Total Villa through and through.

Well said Reza, I agree 100% mate. We can't let this poor rubbish go on any longer, the club is being torn to shreds and have become the laughing stock of the league. Eck OUT!!

Whats' Afrikaans for F***ing Angry Reza? When are the supporters in the UK gonna get their collective arses into gear and DO SOMETHING?

Randy must know that this is not the man to take us forward. He must also know that sacking the manager at this stage of the season with no immediate replacement lined up is equally suicidal. I am at this point hoping with every fibre that we manage to stay up, he is released with a thanks but no thanks and the manager Randy has spent the last 12 months courting is finally available and is announced to the fanfare and exitement we expected when MON left. Dare We Dream?

I am really torn regarding this. Whilst sacking the manager with no replacement lined up is ill advised, you have to say that there is always a player resurgence when this happens; we see it time and time again. Look at Wolves, under Big Mick, no way would they have fought back like that and…… could it be any worse?? If KMAC was interested in doing another caretaker role, at least the team would play for him and we could (hopefully) cement our status as a Premiership team. Under this guy we are going to swap places with the forces of darkness from Small Heath….can you imagine?!
