'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Eck Bemoans Finishing Ability

Well the stats don't lie, Alex says we had the best chances of the game and he's disappointed we didn't take them.

That's right, we had the 3 best chances in the game. 3 shots on target and Wigan had the 6 worst chances in the game.

Makes sense, oh well at least this week it's Darren Bent and Robbie Keane's fault for us failing to win.

Speaking to the Official Site McLeish said:

'I thought we had the better chances, I was disappointed we didn't take any of those. I was pleased with the chances if not the finishing, the finishing will need to be touched up on.'

McLeish adds it's a shame Keane couldn't get the winner to have a fairytale end to his time at the club.

'Robbie was unlucky not to finish up scoring the winner. It was a great pass from Ginge over the top but the touch just eluded him. Benty will feel he should have scored, he side footed it and probably will think he should've put the laces through it.'

He finishes by saying that if the players work for each other like they did today then we will be okay.

Which is nice.

His press conferences/post match reactions just get more deluded and scary by the week. He is killing us.

Its a pity Keane isn't staying, saying that why would he want on his CV....loan spell at Villa,Villa relegated.Going down is a big possibility, anyone who thinks it isn't needs a shrink,we cant beat a team worse than us ffs.We all keep saying Wigan are yet they looked better than us today and they was s**te.

Eck couldn't finish his dinner... Total idiot.

Is there another manager alive that comes out with as much **** as this guy. It beggars belief,if we lost 10-0 he'd say we were unlucky and we need to focus on scoring. How much longer do we have to put up with this p*ss poor excuse for a manager who if he he had any decency would submit his resignation immediately.

Just to add that defeat at Blackburn is a nailed on certainty after todays effort and with the loss of Bent and Keane back on his jolly it bodes well. Maybe a rich arab might bail us out lol

Idiot, you are TOTALLY PATHETIC man! Go forth and multiply back to Scotland...............
Pride of Lions
I bemoan Eck's finishing ability. If he had any honour or decency he'd fall on his sword, trouble is he's too stupid to even realize how out of his depth he is. Relegation scrap here we come !

Also mentioned the pitch, which is something both teams had to play on, so no excuse I'm afraid.
The Fear
I agree with Alex. Poor finishing again.
PiperUK
I agree with Piper. It was poor finishing. We missed our one good chance against the team bottom of the lague without a home win since August. Fortunately Wigan missed the three good chances that they had.
voiceoftheholte
Total w**ker, Ireland and Nzogbia on the bench just because they think he's an idiot. As soon as I saw the team sheet I told the wife we'd lose. Only Wigan's ineptitude gave us a draw. Worry is I can't see Lerner sacking the idiot when we get relegated as everyone will point to his record of two promotions at small heath
AVbornandbred
Poor finishing with 3 shots on goal was it? He is a joke, just like the board and some of the fans.
