Oh Dear Oh Dear... Poor Poor Villa

Oh Dear Oh Dear... Poor Poor Villa

Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Villa fans being forced (and rightly) singing to the manager:

'You don`t know what you`re doing` and 'we want our club back`.

McLeish`s answer to the awful first half and start of the second was to bring off Marc Albrighton and to replace him with ... Ireland? No... Zoggy? Noooo. Emile Heskey.

Commentator (ended up selling my ticket, not well enough to go, bet the guy who went in my place is cursing me!) during the game was in awe of how bad it all was!

'it has been pretty dull to say the least so far. you can see why both of these teams are in the bottom half of the table'

Commentators taking Mickey out of the game. One sounds like Mick McCarthy. Whoever it is, is laughing said the crowd must wish they had gone shopping instead. Half glad I couldn't make it today, still missing the away laugh though, just the football gets in the way of a bloody good day out!

Not sure if anyone who went will submit a match report. I doubt it because there were few highlights! There were a few chances for both teams but at the end of the day, this was two very poor teams playing very poor football.

McLeish should not be in this job if that is the best he can get that lot playing. Just sad to see how poor we have become. I think we`ll remain up by the grace of worse teams below us, but it is certainly not a given yet ... oh, talking about Given, he made a crucial save or two for us today.

Bent looks like he might be out for a good while.. rest of season?... as he picked up what looked a nasty ankle injury.

Worrying times.

I hope the text I got was wrong saying some Villa fans were fighting amongst themselves, that would be sad to see.

I would SO love to defend Alex McLeish amongst all the anger and doom. But how can you? Just can`t!

We`ll get the stats up and hopefully some manager/player reaction later or tomorrow morning (as I`m really not keen on hanging around after seeing 'that`)

Safe journey home to all those fantastic Villa fans who made the trip today. At least they were in fine voice and good form.

Current standings for the season:

11 draws, just 6 wins and 9 losses. We lie 15th with 29 points and a goal difference of -5

I'm obviously concerned about relegation this season but agree, there are worse teams and I think we'll stay up as a result. Next season could be very different, I think the teams coming up will be stronger than those going down. I'd put money on us going down next season but that would be shameful.

pretty much agree with everything above... iv tried and tried to be positive but i think for every villa the camels back is finally broken thats the worst performance iv seen from villa ever considering it was bottom of the table wigan...

Albrighton Was so far off the pace it was embarrassing. Gabi looked like he had been out for a few weeks. Bent missed the one chance he had (some go in some don't) but he was used as a target man to win headers from long balls FFS. Bannan and Gardner were too inexperiened even against Wigan. Warnock and Hutton, despite a couple of dodgy passes were actually OK, but had no real cover or support form the men in front of them. Cuellar was our best player and Collins was an OK stopper. Given had to make as many 'proper' saves as Al Habsi. We played bottom of the league who have not won in 11 home games and we played for a draw!!!!!! If anybody can defend McMuppet after that then I would be flabbergasted.

stopped watching the game after the 1st half, the game was shocking. I cant believe how bad we are! AM needs to go! The board the Manager and players need a kick up the backside. I will not being going down to watch that waste of space. ALL the fans who think we should give AM a chance need to get in the real world. This brand of football is not wanted!

Lerner is a total fool, and equally as clueless in how to run a football club. That said for both sides of the pond. He should of used the years of experience in Houllier and given him a seat on the board in a non exec role. At least Ellis knew the game and was in his office every day of the week as I was told. Lerner is a cretin, Faulkner is a lap dog, and Mcleish is a yes man and a stupid one at that. We are totally *****ed guys with this lot in charge, and Lerner is no where to be seen. Utter disgrace of a man leaving our club to rack and ruin.
