It makes one wonder how well we would be playing and what our position in the league would be if we had not sold/given away(Cahill) these players. I worry that we have developed a "loser" mentality that will see us struggling by the end of the season.

Cahill should never have been sold, but at the end of the day the others wanted to go so we didn't have much say in the matter. Good luck Bent, make your mark!

Never gave a toss about England in the past 'cos we were never involved - now it seriously p****s me off!

Just imagine what our team would look like if we never sold Cahill, Young, Milner, Downing, Barry and somehow managed to keep Walker. Just imagine, Given, Clarke on the left, Cuellar and Cahill in the middle, Walker right, our whole midfield fighting for a place but most likely Downing on the left, Milner and Barry Centre and Young right and upfront Bent and Agbonlahor. THANKS A LOT LERNER.
Avfc94 we do
Re Bent, TBH I'm surprised. Playing for us and our crap anti football doesn't lend itself to being selected for England duties. With all due respect to DB9, whoever picked the squad (Pearce?) must be kinda desperate......
