Delphinately Out - Another Ankle Injury

Delphinately Out - Another Ankle Injury

Damn! Doesn`t get any better for Fabian Delph does it?

The Independent, amongst others, are reporting that the lad might be out for the rest of the season having picked up another ankle injury whilst on loan at Leeds.

forum

Alex McLeish told reporters:

'Delph is not fit. I don't know if he will play again this season but he's rolled his ankle sufficiently enough to rule him out." Adding, 'It's a shame because we wanted him to go out and play regular games to see if he could get over those ailments that he's had. Hopefully, if he comes back stronger in the summer then we will see a different Delphy.'

in action

Not worked out great this move has it? £6million and we`ve really not seen the player shine at all since his move from Leeds. Having ruptured his cruciate ligament early on in 2010 and a few set backs since, it really has looked an awful lot of money for a player unproven at this level.

Hopefully he gets well soon and can progress next season.

Surprise surprise, said this exact scenario would pan out when he left for Leeds. Next season could be his final chance to prove he's a premiership footballer. Would love him and Gardner to strike up a future partnership.

We have said the same every year. The only great news that can be had now is if we can sell him.

Such a disappointment for the lad. When he first played he looked like we had found a real footballer. I still believe and hope that her can be, but it definitely looks like next season (hopefully we are still in the Premier League and McMuppet hasn't sent us down) that it will be make or break for him. UTV. Prepared. McMuppet Out.

Feel really sorry for him. We see so many players come through and show little effort and suffer, but he shows so much and it never gets better for him. Hopefully next season.

I'm not sure I can bare another game of sideways passing and and running from right to left. Still, not nice for the lad that he's got an injury.

Its a pity I think he will eventually be a great player but it wont be for villa unfortunately...

Grizzly, it's Eck's tacticts not the lad's natural game. You are a big supporter of him for some unknown reason though????? What has he done except make the team play shocking football. Delph always gives 100% and got a war wound in the line of duty.
