'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Warnock Praises Given

Stephen Warnock has said signing Shay Given was a brilliant piece of business by the club and he adds that we are reaping the rewards of his talent between the sticks.

Speaking to the Official Site our left back said.

'Shay is fantastic, everyone knows his ability, we always knew with his hunger he'd thrive at Villa. We're reaping the rewards of a great buy in the summer.'

There's no doubt Given is a shine on the season, and he's pulled off some very important saves during his short time with us so far.

No wonder Warnock is happy, without Given between the sticks he could already have three own goals.

Regardless of opinions on Warnock, you have to admit, he's absolutely right.
