Bent Wants Back To Back Wins

Darren Bent has targeted back to back wins against Wigan and Blackburn.

Speaking to the Official Site Bent said it's about time we got consecutive victories this season, and now is the perfect time to get some momentum going.

'This season we don't want to be dragged into it. We've got a few games which, on paper, people will say these are your best chances of getting points. After that we've got some seriously hard games to be fair. So we want to make ourselves as comfortable as possible by the time the bigger games come up, so we can play relaxed like we know we can do.'

Relaxed, some of the performances this season have been horizontal, I was beginning to think we were sponsored by Valium.

Bent adds.

'By the last two games last season everyone knew we were safe so when we went to play against Arsenal and Liverpool we were much more relaxed. We went to the Emirates and got the three point and the beat Liverpool at home. Everyone was relaxed and with the confidence we managed to find the quality that we always knew we had.'

So the key to success is relaxation. Not drive, desire, expectation, enjoyment?

Interesting.

Bent wants back to Back wins, don't we all. Talk about stating the bleeding obvious. Almost reminds me of the old Phone in days on BRMB when Andy Gray was playing for us and some numpty came on and said "Andy Gray hit the ball so hard if it had gone in the Net it would have been a Goal" Why do Players feel the need to say these things, just do it for God's sake, although under Cap'n McLeish and his cunning Plan I doubt we will win more than 1 or 2 games before Season ends. Thank God the bottom teams are so woeful
