ial Villa News...
I`ve sort of avoided this all day and was hoping Fieldy might cover it. Not because it doesn`t interest me, I sort of feel ambivilant about it, more because of the anger in the McLeish thread on the forum and also the anger on our facebook part. I might be missing something but I can`t really get angry about such a small issue. What issue ? The official site: www.avfc.co.uk have reported that Alex McLeish, Peter Grant (the man that points a lot!) as well as fitness coach Adrian Sheep, or Lamb, or something.. and Dr Ian I`ll Have a Pint of McGuinness oh and .... ok, ok, I can concede, I understand why this will make you laugh... 'performance analyst` Patrick Riley, have all jetted off to talk to their counterparts at the Cleveland Browns. Full article: McLeish & Co In Trip To Cleveland
The Vital Villa Acorns challenge is going well, we've smashed very target (our first target was just £750) We are now at just under £4100 but that isn`t enough, we want more! Full details and images: Vital Villa ACORNS Challenge
Villa_Grizzly: In End to Boom and Bust The manager: He is highly lauded by the football fraternity, both personally and professionally and was a powerful, fearsome defender throughout his playing days. He has the medals to prove it, having achieved at the highest level. There's just one problem. The fans can't stand him or the brand of football he has brought to the team. Crowds are down and the Villa faithful are subdued. Sound familiar. No, this is not Alex McLeish. The manager I'm talking about is David O' Leary and it's the 2003-2004 season. By Christmas we are in the bottom six and it looks like we are in a relegation battle. Only 4 months into the job the fans are calling for his head. A saviour is needed, the only problem is that the saviour has just been and gone. Full article: An End To Villa Boom And Bust?

Darren Bent has described Andy Weimann as being one of the best natural finishers he has seen for a long time. Speaking to the Official Site Bent said he often says behind after training with the youngster to offer advice and hold extra sessions such as penalties and he's been impressed with the weeman's desire to learn despite having such natural predatory instincts.
