7 Villans For Olympic Team?

7 Villans For Olympic Team?

It's being reported that Stuart Pearce has his eye on seven Villans for the Great Britain Olympic team.

The Birmingham Mail list Alan Hutton, James Collins, Barry Bannan, Gary Gardner, Nathan Delfouneso, Nathan Baker and Darren Bent as being on the provisional list for the squad with each player having received a letter informing them of their possible selection.

Pearce however has agreed only to select those who won't be taking part in Euro 2012, which if selected would rule out Bent.

'We have agreed that any player who boards the plane to the European Championships will not be considered for selection. It's a sensible football decision when you consider the demands on players,' said Pearce.

Will be lots of good players who don't go to the olympics, so we could have a decent team...Doubt anyone apart from Bent will get a look in.
