Robbie Keane To Return Permanently?

Robbie Keane To Return Permanently?

This would be nice. BUT would he be looking to come to Villa permanently? There would no doubt be no shortage of suitors.

Who?

Robbie Keane who according to The Sun the on loan from LA Galaxy striker might be tempted back to the Premiership as they say he is home sick.

The Sun claim that Villa will be in the driving seat but he will now be returning next week to prepare for the new season with LA Galaxy.

Wasn`t too long back, as quoted from The Independent, that Robbie said:

'My record is there and no one is going to take away the goals I scored before I left. But it was my choice to go over there and I haven't really missed the Premier League. I'm only here for a short time. I wasn't looking to come back [when I signed for Villa]. But it was too long a time for me to be sitting around waiting for pre-season and I wanted to start playing again.'

He also not long back ruled out a permanent return. He told the Sunday Mirror: "Come back permanently? No. I am quite happy in the MLS. I have really enjoyed the three months I have had there so far. It is a great lifestyle out there for the family. It`s nice to have the opportunity to come back for a couple of months, but when that ends I am looking forward to getting back with the Galaxy."

McLeish admitted he`d like to keep him: Robbie Keane - The Get Out Of Jail Card?

Robbie said on joining us:

'I'm delighted to be back in the Premier League. This is only short-term, of course, but there has been a lot of speculation over the years linking my name to Villa and, finally, I'm here. I'm excited about it and I know I'll really enjoy my time here. It's only for two months but I will do my absolute best in these two months. '

Adding, 'Villa is a great club, a club with a massive tradition and standing in the game and Villa Park is one of the finest stadiums I've ever played in. If selected to play on Saturday, I will genuinely be looking forward to it and I'll be excited to be involved again in Premier League action. I've been training with the players here for the past few days and it's been great but I'm not naive enough to think I'll just walk straight into the team.'

Personally never understood the negativity around him coming, and the fact that most now want him to stay is quite amusing. The bloke is clearly a class above most of the players we have, it's frightening really.

I am quite scared about how poor we will be when he goes as he is the guy who is linking everything good together for us!

He has been awesome since coming here, not only been the best player but has also brought others into decent form...if only we had a manager who let players get forward we could of done real damage. I wouldn't mind having him here full time, if he can keep the level of performances up then definitely.

Permanently? So he'll still be at the club in, say, 2046? Guess they can use his bones to stir the tea. And he'd still be better than Heskey.

Saurat that is soooo funny and Learneravfc ... Really ? I'd love him too but i wouldnt go that far .... these players always play well when they are here on loan ... sign em up to a permanent deal and then they seem to relax. I think another Loan deal wud be good though

Thakfully Marshy I have it on good authority that like a certain Spurs manager Robbie is not the brightest so may not be able to spell L.A. let alone realise its better than Bham (just)!
