By Paul Brown American Football fan Ciaran Clark is eager to 'sack' Gareth Barry on Sunday. Clark, who was an avid watcher of the Superbowl between the Giants and the Patriots, sees similarities between Barry's role at Manchester City and the influential quarter-back position in the popular USA sport. Clark is a firm admirer of the way most of the championship-chasing team's best attacks are sparked by the diligence of former claret and blue captain Barry. Wadey: A punishment to fit the crime! Having convinced a jury that he would never dream of evading his taxes, using the, 'too dumb to diddle' defence, as perfected so famously by Ken Dodd, Harry Redknapp walked free from court this week, only to be re-arrested and charged with being the only English football manager doing a decent job, and he looks likely to be sentenced to a number of years of chokey as England manager, where he'll no doubt endure far more serious punishment and damage to his reputation, than being found guilty of dodging his taxes, would have achieved. Villa's table topping second string will return to Villa Park for the final 3 home games of the season. The games against Newcastle on March 5, Norwich on March 12 and Liverpool on April 2 will all take place back at B6 and not at Hinckley or Bodymoor Heath. All 3 fixtures will kick off at 7pm.

Alex McLeish has confirmed that Brian 'Rambo' Brown is on trial at the club. Even if the club are impressed with the 19 year old youngster there would be work permit issues and it's unlikely he would be granted one, but it's a good chance to assess him nonetheless. Details: McLeish Confirms Rambo Trial

Alex McLeish has no intention of disciplining Charles N'Zogbia for his recent twitterings but he has told him it's down to him to start enjoying his football again. Full article: Self Help Required For N'Zogbia
