Self Help Required For N'Zogbia

Self Help Required For N'Zogbia

Alex McLeish has no intention of disciplining Charles N'Zogbia for his recent twitterings but he has told him it's down to him to start enjoying his football again.

Speaking to the E&S McLeish said he had no intention of taking matters further, the issue is over and he's looking for N'Zogbia to push himself on the pitch.

'If Charles is not enjoying football then he needs to do something about it on the pitch and that's the same for every single one of the players. I always tell these lads that these are the best days of their lives, better than coaching, managing, you can't beat playing, but it goes by in a flash. It's not a coincidence that the best moments Charles has had have come when he has been working hard, because that's the best way to get your rewards in anything.'

On the wider issue of twittering, facebooking and whatever the hell people do that I don't understand, McLeish has used it as a timely reminder about how players conduct themselves on line - because the club aren't going to ban players from using these sites like some clubs have.

I think Zoggy will only start to enjoy his football when he's allowed to play the roll he played at Wigan and he's not being substituted by the Idiot. So basically - and I know this is revolutionary, we need a decent manager!

Maybe McLeish could help N'Zogbia by ... oh I don't know .... playing him in the right position? I'm no tactical genius but just maybe, that could be a step in the right direction? It shows how bad of a manager he is though when he can't even control his own big signing (who he has been chasing before he even arrived at B6).

isnt it down to the manager to get the best out of his players? Especially one that he spent nearly £10m on.

N'zogbia as i think pride is trying to say had a free role at wigan, allowed to float about and hurt teams by pooping up on the left right centre throughout the game, at villa he is expected to hug the left touchline and track back seems he prefers the free role, the one thing i will say is Mcleish should have realised this, N'zogbia played on the left at newastle but not much at wigan.
