Squad Disappointed With Newcastle Loss

Stiliyan Petrov has said the whole team were disappointed following the Newcastle loss and he knows we have to start grinding out results.

Speaking to the Official Site Petrov described the result as 'frustrating' and he knows we had the chances to finish the game off before we threw it away.

'We were all frustrated and disappointed especially after the performance we put in and the chances we created. That's our luck this season so far. We have been playing well but we haven't been getting the results.'

He continues to say that they are working hard to change our luck on the pitch and that we just need to stop conceding goals so easily because the team is confident of scoring at the other end.

Yeah well do something about it instead of bleating in the press. Personally I think we need a new captain, Petrov just can't command.

I wish we had more players with the profesionalism, discipline and attitude of Petrov thats for sure

He may have all that but he can't command, he never shouts players where to be and when he does he gets ignored. We need a captain with balls, it's as simple as that.

If the players don't listen to the manager and he can't control them what chance has Petrov got??

Great picture choice, was that picture taken when he saw the subs board and Heskey was coming on for N Zogbia?
Chelt Villan
personally I like Petrov but I do think he has a tendancy to hide when things aren't going well. However there aren't any other options for captain except Given and being influential as a keeper isn't easy.
