Fitness Boost Ahead Of Man City
A number of players look set to win their battles for fitness ahead of the Manchester City game.
Stephen Ireland, James Collins, Gabby Agbonlahor and Marc Albrighton are all set to resume training at some point this week.
Speaking to the Official Site Alex McLeish gave us an update on the players, saying.
'James will train on Friday. Marc is earmarked for Friday too. I don't think there's much wrong with Stevie. He seems to be picking up wee niggles. I don't know if one of the reasons for that is because he's been out so long, whether his body is still reconditioning and he's picking up some niggles because of it, I don't know, but he's been in good form.'
As for the final injury doubt, he says of Gabby.
'Gabby is making good progress and we're hoping he'll make it aswell. He's still a bit stiff and he's still got a bit of spasm with his back.

I can see Collins returning to the first team on Sunday in a 5 man defence, 4 "midfield" just in front of 'em and Bent feeding the pigeons in the Man Citeh half.......

Doesn't matter who is fit. McLeish will field a negative team thinking we are on for a draw or loss anyway.
