Quotes from Darren Bent on reaching 100 and more specifically joining Alan Shearer in the tonne up club: “He was a real icon of our domestic game and of world football too. He was someone I looked up to greatly. He is a real legend up there because he moved to Newcastle and stayed there for the rest of his career. He is a true Toon icon. If I could be half as much of an icon for Villa as he is at Newcastle it would be amazing. It would mean I was doing something right in claret and blue.”

He could of been talking about his 101st goal if he had the brains to follow his feed to Keane after 15 minutes! He Fed Keane, who took it to the goal line and cut it back for Bent. What was Bent doing? Still standing still admiring his pass to Keane in the first place...... PLANK!
